The month of April is National Poetry Writing Month. Founded in the US in 2003, poets around the world join the challenge of writing poetry every day for thirty days.
Here at I Am Loud HQ we do NaPoWriMo a little differently, by
doing 5 poems across 5 weeks in April. Using 5 Forms from Return to
Form Season 2, each week host Bex Sherwood guides regular guests
Dr. Katie Ailes, Kevin Mclean & Mark Gallie in conversation about
poetic form, their writing practice, and invites them to share
their work from the week.
This week, we share our newly crafted Villanelle's and set up our
next challenge - writing in Standard Habbie! Both our Rhyme and our
Metre Form Fundamental workshops could be useful throughout this
challenge - as well as our Return to Form video with Mark Grist and
Angie Strachan, and our Workshop by Dr. Katie Ailes.
